In May of 2020, while on an anniversary getaway, we noticed that the ground cover at our rental was everywhere. We casually said that a flip-flop border would look so cool here. A short time later, our very first prototype was made. We shared it with a family friend and Beach Borders, LLC was born! 

Over the past two years, we have made four different prototypes and filed for patent protection, Beach Borders, LLC was issued the official patent July 2, 2024 and is patent number D1033685. We have learned many things and made some important decisions. Although Beach Borders is a majority woman-owned business (don't tell our husbands!) together as a team, we have made the choices to keep production in the USA, picked charities to support, and will be offering fund-raising opportunities, as well! We have also learned as a team, that some of the best memories are made in flip-flops, nothing will derail our passion, and most importantly... If You're Not Flippin, You're Floppin!
